“Tensions continue. Millions of North Koreans now picking up rocket pieces and throwing them at South Korea.”
It used to be that when you order for coffee or tea, you order for just that, coffee or tea. And it takes less than thirty seconds to do so. Now, when you order for coffee or tea, you are asked by the smiling girl behind the counter, tall or short? hot or cold? what flavour? latte? cinnamon? pearls or jello? Please choose from our selection of five-hundred add-ons. It now takes thirty minutes for you to order for coffee or tea. There are a thousand and one choices for coffee and an equal number for tea. The queue behind us is getting longer and we were so stumped by the selection that we just closed our eyes and pointed at the board. The original ice blended mocha and hot Japanese cherry flavoured green tea were our choices. Whew! That was hard. Next time I’ll order for water. Bottled, tap, mineral, distilled, still or sparkling? Oh crap.

radio, live transmission. listen to the silence, let it ring on. eyes, dark grey lenses frightened of the sun. we would have a fine time living in the night, left to blind destruction, waiting for our sight. and we would go on as though nothing was wrong. and hide from these days we remained all alone. staying in the same place, just staying out the time. touching from a distance, further all the time. dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio. well i could call out when the going gets tough. the things that we’ve learnt are no longer enough. no language, just sound, that’s all we need know, to synchronise love to the beat of the show. and we could dance. dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio. - ian curtis

wrapped in a blanket
left to my devices to
think about what was said
apologies? what for?
not your fault to
jest and laugh at me
not your fault to
banish me from your horizon
I am nothing
a fool
an animal
dust
thank you for your precious time
unwisely spent on me
what happiness
for me to receive your charity.
